Kiyoko Czech, Board Vice-Chair
Kiyoko Czech has worked in the sales & marketing arena for 20 years. But her passion is
volunteering & raising money for causes dear to her & her family. She has served in
local, regional & National volunteer roles for her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, & serves on
many committees to raise money for causes such as autism, cancer & education.
|Cindy Finkle, Board Chair
Cindy began her career in 1972 when she joined Oklahoma Fire Service Training, at
Oklahoma State University, the state training agency for the fire service, when fire and
life safety education was just beginning. She retired from FST in 1999, as a Program
Coordinator for many areas of emergency responder training, including over 20 years as
the coordinator of the annual Oklahoma Public Fire Educator’s Conference, the nation’s
leading conference in fire and life safety education. She was invited to return to the
University in 2004 and joined Fire Protection Publications, home of the International Fire
Service Training Association, where much of her work concentrates on fire and life safety
education through externally funded projects, many focusing on high risk populations:
the very young, older adults, and people with disabilities.
Keep Kids Fire Safe® Foundation is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization dedicated
to teaching fire safety knowledge and skills to children and their caregivers based on fire safety research.

|Nick has worked in the smoke and fire detection industry for over 25 years. He started as
an electrical engineer and progressed into sales and marketing. Most recently he served
as Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing of BRK Brands, Inc. a subsidiary of Newell
Brands Inc. (NYSE: NWL), a Fortune 500 diversified manufacturer of First Alert® safety and
security products for the home. As Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, he directed
the Division’s sales and marketing efforts in the U.S., Latin America, Asia, Africa and the
Nick earned his MBA from Northwestern University and holds a BS of Electrical
Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. He was formerly convener of the ISO
Working Group on residential smoke alarms, and an active participant in fire detection
Standards harmonization efforts.
|Philicia McCauley has 35 years experience, in accounting. For the last 14 years, she
has managed the Domestic Finance Team, with a worldwide humanitarian non-profit
organization. Philicia is responsible for investments and annuity funds, in excess of
$200 million, as well as donor trusts and bequests.
Philicia has been working with the Foundation for a few years, as a result of her love of
dogs and commitment to fire safety.
