Kiyoko Czech, Board Vice-Chair

Kiyoko Czech has worked in the sales and marketing arena for 20 years, but her passion is
volunteering and raising money for causes dear to her and her family.  

Kiyoko has served in local, regional & National volunteer roles for her sorority, Alpha Xi
Delta, and serves on many committees to raise money for causes such as autism, cancer
and education.
Cindy Finkle, Board Member

Cindy began her career in 1972 when she joined Oklahoma Fire Service Training, at
Oklahoma State University, the state training agency for the fire service, when fire and
life safety education was just beginning.

She retired from FST in 1999, as a Program Coordinator for many areas of emergency
responder training, including over 20 years as the coordinator of the annual Oklahoma
Public Fire Educator’s Conference, the nation’s leading conference in fire and life safety
education. She was invited to return to the University in 2004 and joined Fire Protection
Publications, home of the International Fire Service Training Association, where much of
her work concentrates on fire and life safety education through externally funded projects,
many focusing on high risk populations: the very young, older adults, and people with
"Helping keep children and their families safe."
Dee Forbush, Board Member

Dee Forbush, wife of a firefighter, has worked in the pediatric medical field the past 26

Over the years she has served on numerous boards and committees for non-profit

With the fire service being an important part of her life, she loves working with the
Nick has worked in the smoke and fire detection industry for over 25 years. He started as
an electrical engineer and progressed into sales and marketing. Most recently he served
as Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing of BRK Brands, Inc. a subsidiary of Newell
Brands Inc. (NYSE: NWL), a Fortune 500 diversified manufacturer of First Alert® safety and
security products for the home. As Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, he directed
the Division’s sales and marketing efforts in the U.S., Latin America, Asia, Africa and the
Middle East.

Nick earned his MBA from Northwestern University and holds a BS of Electrical
Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. He was formerly convener of the ISO
Working Group on residential smoke alarms, and an active participant in fire detection
Standards harmonization efforts.
Nicholas J. Bellavia, Board Chair
Philicia McCauley recently accepted the position of Finance Manager, with the National
Fallen Firefighters Foundation, in Emmittsburg, MD and has 35 years of accounting

During the period of 2003 – 2017, Philicia worked with a worldwide humanitarian non-
profit organization. The last few years, she served as Manager, Domestic Finance,
responsible for investments and annuity funds, in excess of $200 million, as well as
donor trusts and bequests.
